Carol Merle-Fishman, M.A., CMT, LCAT, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, certified in Integrative Psychotherapy, Clinical Transactional Analysis and Music Therapy. In the early part of her career, she worked in a variety of hospital and clinical settings as a Music Therapy Consultant and Supervisor, and held faculty positions in a number of undergraduate and graduate Music Therapy programs. She is a past president of the American Association for Music Therapy. In the early 1980's she began her study of Transactional Analysis and Integrative Psychotherapy, expanding her work to include these modalities. She currently maintains a private practice in Cortlandt Manor, NY where she works with individuals, groups and couples, offering Integrative Psychotherapy, Music Therapy and clinical supervision. A frequent presenter at national and international conferences, she has published articles on both Music Therapy and Integrative Psychotherapy and is the co-author of The Music Within You. Carol is a Founding Member and a Teaching and Supervising faculty member of the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association.
